A roundup of the interesting things from around the web that have been hiding in my browser tabs. Enjoy.
- Strap 150 balloons to your back and you can fly too. An introduction to Cluster Ballooning. Beautiful photos.
- Google Suggest Beta: search with type-ahead predicting power. Interesting!
- No impending cell phone doom. E-mail circulated (ahem, by me too) over the past couple weeks encouraged enrollment in the National Do Not Call Registry. Nothing wrong with that, but the directory isn't being handed over yet.
- Professor studied the word "dude". Conclusion: it's a way to show intimacy while preserving some distance. Interesting to see CNN credit the return of "dude" to Spicoli from Fast Times.
- Something-something-something... isn't it a little bit, ironic? So I was reading about sleep the other night at 3:00 in the morning... "Good Sleep, Good Learning, Good Life". It's a nice summary of a lot of different sleep research.
