Remember when Teletubbies launched on PBS and everyone was amazed that toddlers could watch the same thing twice in a row and be fascinated? Well, I just caught a few minutes of the Hollywood gossip show Extra and was laughing when I realized that I was watching all the footage twice. They show a clip, pan across a couple of photos, then show some commercials, and return to the same footage following the ads. The other model: footage, anchor, repeat footage. They've got about 6 minutes of video and 3 minutes of zooming and panning photos for a half hour show. What a joke!
At the Wedding Crashers site, there's a cool little tool that lets you cut up the trailer to the movie. Add your face and the face of the friend, supply your names, and then sit back and watch the magic. Go to it, man, make your own.
