Some Sony dudes bounced 100,000 bouncy balls down a street in San Francisco as part of the filming for a commercial. Lucky! [via Ev]
Update! There's a video of the bouncing balls!
Today Yahoo! announced that it bought a software company that made a product called Konfabulator. The good news for all of you is that the product, which always kicked ass, is now free.
Re-branded Yahoo! Widgets, the tool lets you add little useful, uh, widgets to your desktop to do things like track stocks or the weather, maintain a to-do list, search the web and so forth. There are something like 1,000 widgets out there, so chances are someobody's got a widget for what you want to do. You can either keep little wigdets scattered across your desktop, or hide them until you press a key on your keyboard, at which point they'll come whooshing into view. It's bitchin'. (and yes, it's a lot like the Dashboard on the Mac, but the Konfab crew gets credit for doing this first).
Yahoo! has been kicking a lot of ass for the past couple of years if you ask me. One more cool tool branded Yahoo!. I dig it.
