The whole dance the night away, freak like a dog in heat, and drink booze like it's life-giving nectar plan fell through, so it's back to the old dinner-movie standby that serves the ukazu clan oh so well.
Meet up at Island's Fine Burgers and Drinks on Mill Avenue in Tempe, Arizona, 85281 at 8:00pm. We're uh, gonna eat fine burgers and you know, drink some drinks there. Just before 9:40pm we'll saunter up Mill to the Harkins Valley Art theatre and watch Ghost World. If you want more information about the movie, check out the full review at The New York Times.

Back to school -- Four Peaks style. I'm tired of all this "studying" and "homework" and these pesky "classes". It's time for the school we all know and love. The school with beer and burgers and french fries. Four Peaks is such a simple, wonderful experience. I'm gonna roll out ultra casual and I'm gonna talk slow and eat slow and probably sit there for a long time talking to people about interesting things. Join me.

Alright-- last minute planning. American Pie 2. Tonight. Around 10pm. There's a 9:45 show at The Esplanade and there's a 10:00 show at the AMC Ahwatukee 24. Either sounds good to me, it all depends on who wants to do what beforehand. Call me.

I was browsing the Dining section of The Phoenix New Times and was thrilled to learn that Scottsdale now has a restaurant that shows movies during dinner. Score! We'll be going there soon, I promise. In the meantime, read the review and visit the website for Farrelli's Cinema Supper Club.
Slices & Scrabble
Friday the 10th of August, we're meeting at California Pizza Kitchen on Camelback and 24th Street in Phoenix at 8pm. We're gonna grub up on some gourmet pie and then it's on with the scrabble-fest.
